Useful Phrases during Emergencies.
1. Help! Tulong! , Saklolo!
2. Help me! Tulongan ninyo ako!
3. There's been an accident. Mayroon nadisgrasiya.
4. Call for a doctor. Tumawag kayo ng doktor.
5. Call for an ambulance. Tumawag kayo ng ambulansiya.
6. Call for the police. Tumawag kayo ng pulisya.
7. Call for the funeral director. Tumawag kayo ng may-ari ng punerarya.
8. Are you alright? Maayos ba ang kalagayan mo?
9. I am about to give birth. Ako ay manganganak na.
10. I am about to be sick. Ako ay nasusuka.
11. I am about to collapse. Ako ay hihimatayin.
12. I am allergic to aspirin. 1. Hindi hiyang sa aking katawan ang aspirin. / 2. Masama sa aking katawan ang aspirin.
13. I am allergic to prawns. 1. Hindi hiyang sa aking katawan ang hipon. /2. Masama sa aking katawan ang hipon.
14. Please contact my relatives. Pakitawag ang aking mga kamag-anak.
15.Their address is in my pocket. Ang kanilang direksyon ng tirahan ay nasa aking bulsa.

Useful Phrases when getting around on foot.
Locals will give you directions with much gesticulation and volumes of words, so make your life simple and just ask: Ang mga residente sa isang pook ay magbibigay sa iyo ng mga panuto na may kasamang pagkukumpas at napakaraming mga salita, dahil dito gawin mong payak ang buhay at magtanong lamang:
Where is......? Saan ang ......?
To which you may get the answer: Na ikaw ay maaring tumanggap ng sagot:
a. Straight on. a. Diretso roon.
b. Next right. b. Sa kasunod na kanan.
c. Next left. c. Sa kasunod na kaliwa.
d. Second right. d. Pangalawa sa kanan.
e. Third left. e. Ikatatlo sa kaliwa.
f. Back that-a-way. f. Doon sa gawing likod.
Always remember to be polite when asking people for directions. Do not forget to say "Thank you". Laging tandaan na maging magalang sa mga tao kapag humihingi ng mga panuto. Huwag kalimutan magsabi ng "Salamat po".

1. Where can I get a bus for Ormoc? 1. Saan ako makakuha ng bus papunta ng Ormoc?
2. Does this stop near the Rizal Monument? 2. Humihinto ba ito malapit sa monumento ni Rizal?
3. Could you tell me where I get off? 3. Maaari ba sabihan mo ako kung saan ako bababa?
4. How long does it take to get there? 4. Gaano katagal ito makakarating doon?
5. I was told this bus goes to Ormoc. 5. Ako ay napagsabihan na itong bus ay papunta ng Ormoc.
6. I am on the wrong bus. Please stop. I want to get off. 6. Ako ay nakasakay sa maling bus. Maaari ba huminto. Gusto kong bumaba.
7. When is the next bus back to Ormoc? 7. Kailan ba ang susunod na bus pabalik ng Ormoc?
8. Is there any other way I can get to Ormoc? 8. May ibang paraan pa ba para ako ay makapunta ng Ormoc?
